Nagoya Friends 61st party in Nagoya!

Date: Saturday Nov 22nd, 2008
Time: 18:30 - 21:00
Drinks will be served between 6:30pm-8:50pm.
Place: The Red Rock (2F Aster Plaza Building,
4-14-6 Sakae, Nagoya (very close to Sakae Station)
Fee: 3000 Yen
Dress code: Anything (Casual, etc)
Reservations: Not necessary but recommended and appreciated. Just show up to the party!
Over 25,000 Yen worth of exciting prize giveaways each month!

There will be free food along with free drinks (beers, wine, cocktail drinks and juices).
Our party is not a dinner party, but we will have light food & snacks.
Quantities are limited, so please come early! Please free to come alone or bring your friends.

The Red Rock is located behind the Chunichi Building in the Sakae business/shopping district.

Subway access from Sakae Station (serving the yellow and purple lines) Exit 13. It’s a big station connected to a huge underground shopping mall so you’ll need to do a little underground walking.

We’re also just a couple of minutes’ walk from the Tokyu and Precede hotels, and a 10 minute walk up Hirokoji Street from the Hilton Hotel in Fushimi.

Train Directions

From Nagoya Stn. take the Higashiyama Subway line to Sakae Station (GET OFF at Sakae Station!!) Take exit #13 and then walk straight AWAY from Hirokoji-Dori for about 3/4 of a block. TURN LEFT Red Rock is on the right side of the street in the middle of the block. Look for the sign on the sidewalk.

Nagoya Speed Dating is a great way to meet new people in the Aichi, Gifu and Mie Areas! At Nagoya Speed Dating, you will receive a number, an assigned table, and a personalized Speeding Ticket form. When the host says to start you will have between 3 to 5 minutes to talk to the person at your table. When the time is up the host will give you a signal. At that time the men will change tables and the women will remain seated. All you have to do is mark your speeding ticket with a yes or a no for each person. At the end of the event, the tickets will be analyzed and Nagoya Speed Dating will notify you of your matches. After that you will also receive contact info for the people you have matched with. Nagoya Friends annual Christmas Bash was a huge event with over 135 people coming out on a very raint evening in Nagoya. All of the guests were treated to a fantastic event.
Nagoya Friends offers over 60 types of cocktails in an ALL YOU CAN DRINK extravaganza for 2 and a half hours! Guests were also treated to lots of delicious foods as well as special pizza delivery from Santa Claus! To the victor go the spoils, and for their efforts the group recieved a 1 GB iPod Shuffle, 5 vouchers for Shooters Bar and Grill, 5 Free Salsa Lessons w/ 1free drink, 3 bottles of wine, and 3 free admissions to this year’s countdown party at Shooters!
	Nagoya Friends continues it’s great lineup in 2008 with its Open Mic event on Jan 13th (Next Party, Reserve Now!) at Misfits in Imaike. The party will be a showcase local artists wishing to perform. ANYONE CAN REGISTER! (registration from 6:30) Special reservation prizes.

Nagoya Speed Dating returned to Nagoya on Dec. 15th, 2007 at STEPS in Sakae. Speed Dating is a great way to meet people in a low stress, enjoyable environment.

Speed Dating was a HUGE success. We had 48 women and 35 men show up for the event! Everyone raved about the event. They said that it was a nice way to meet people and almost everyone came away with at least one match. Speed Dating will return in 2008 on Feb 2nd. This party will be limited to 30 men and 30 women so reserve early to secure your spot!

Nagoya Friends continues it’s great lineup in 2008 with its Open Mic event on Jan 13th (Next Party, Reserve Now!) at Misfits in Imaike. The party will be a showcase local artists wishing to perform. ANYONE CAN REGISTER! (registration from 6:30) Special reservation prizes.

This year’s Halloween party at Shooter’s Bar & Grill was a SHOCKER!!! 150 people crammed into Shooters on a Friday night. This year’s costumes were some of the best that I have ever seen. The 1st Prize iPod Shoffle went out to "Mr. Nabe Pot" whose handmade costume was amazing! People went all out this year and it showed! Check out the full photo listing in our photo gallery!

All in all 12 people received prizes for their wonderful costumes. Other prizes included 1500 yen gift certificates from Shooters, Halloween pasta, Halloween chocolates, and 3 bottles of wine!

The September 1st party at Shooters as a monster event with 160 people in attendance. A big thanks to Shooters and their staff for the delicious foods served all night long.

Guests were awarded numerous prizes including vouchers for Shooters, Red Rock, free passes for upcoming Nagoya Friends Events, free salsa lessons and more. Nagoya Friends always has fun and exciting prizes available each month!

Nagoya Friends kicked off the 2008 calendar with a huge bash at Shooters with over 120 people. The Shooters kitchen supplied a great spread of food, and the party featured a spirited trivia battle to claim the night’s prizes which included 5 vouchers for Shooters Bar and Grill, 5 Free Salsa Lessons with 1 free drink, plus 3 1000 yen off Nagoya Friends vouchers!
Nagoya Friends offers over 60 types of cocktails in an ALL YOU CAN DRINK extravaganza for 2 and a half hours! Guests are treated to lots of delicious foods plus occaisional seasonal selections prepared by Sam himself! We feature exciting games designed to challenge our guests to work as teams. Nagoya Friends averages over 100 people at each party! We’re the only party in town to have such big events!
	Nagoya Friends Open Mic nights are the place to catch some of Nagoya’s hottest upcoming acts. So far this year we’ve had 3 Open Mic events. Each time the artists have been amazing. Several of the performers have gone on to headline their own shows at clubs in the Nagoya area. Come check out our next event on August 16th (Saturday)
Nagoya Friends held its first party at The Red Rock in Sakae on June 7th. What an event. 110 people gathered for a huge bash. The chefs at red Rock put out an awesome food selection and the atmosphere was electric. Nagoya Friends is looking forward to holding more parties at red Rock in the future. Thank you all for those who attended our parties in the 1st half of 2008, we are planning an even better 2nd half! I hope that we’ll see you all back again! Thanks again from all of us.

Summer Kick-Off! Jun. 2, 2007

The June 2nd party was a roaring success. Thanks to the 105 people on hand to take part our super summer kickoff for 2007! Those who made it out were treated to homemade pasta by the lovely Yuka and homemade banana bread made by Sam. Chris from Adventure Spirit gave a rafting demonstration for the guests in preparation for our July 8th Nagara River Rafting Expedition.

Once that was done it was time to play this party’s game. Tonight’s game was Trivia Countdown. Many of the answers came directly from Chris’ rafting demonstration. All teams showed amazing trivia skills. It took us 8 rounds to finally get a winner. The Green team prevailed in the end, and for their efforts they took home 5 vouchers for Shooters Bar & Grill for 1500 yen each, 5 free salsa lessons with (including a free drink), 3 1000yen off tickets to our Summer BBQ event July 21st, 1 free Rafting trip (12,000 yen), and a 1GB iPod Shuffle!!! Congratulations to all our guests who participated in this fun event.
